This is a blog which will follow my poker life, as well as my real life.

Just the fact that I'm posting this entry already should tell you just about how well I did. To summarize it, although I didn't play badly, I finished badly. This guy at my table was shoving every single hand, I pick up A6o in the big blind, he shoves from MP, everyone folds. I consider folding, but figure if he's shoved 10 or more straight hands, it's highly unlikely that he has a premium hand every time. If we can assume he's got a random hand, or an average hand--Q7o or something--then we are ahead with A6o, and it's -EV to fold. I pull the trigger and call. Sure enough, the villain has 10 6o. We have him dominated, but K 10 9 flop and [x][x] turn leave us out of the tournament.
So, that's it after 1 tournament, but I'm looking around for other freerolls now, so we'll see how things go.
Like Iverson, I am apparently too good for practice. I only got to bed at about 4 AM this morning, and unfortunately overslept, and didn't make it to practice. Got an angry text coach, so not looking forward to speaking with him again.
Additionally, I'm looking for some more poker websites where I can attempt to make some money playing freerolls.
That's all for now.
Hey everyone!
My name is Anjel Hunt. I am a 18 year old college student from Pasadena, California, and this is my first post on my first blog. My blog will be loosely based on, but not limited to, my poker life.
I have just started to explore the world of online poker, and tomorrow, I will be playing in my first ever poker tournament. I have been doing some reading on www.twoplustwo.com, a great poker website, and feel that I am ready to start playing. I am determined to get a bankroll going without actually depositing on a poker site. In order to do this, I must compete in "Freeroll" tournaments. The first one I'll be playing is on Bodog Poker, and has a $500 prizepool. I will write a detailed report on that tournament after it has been completed.
That's all for now, as it's late, and I have track practice tomorrow morning!
