Update

Well, not much has really happened this week.  I have played a few freerolls, haven't done particularly well in them, but will attempt the 2:40 one again tomorrow.  I had a track meet where I did ok.

For now, I'm off to watch the Wire, but I will check in again tomorrow and let everyone know how my 2:40 freeroll went, and afterwards I intend to do a little hand analysis to see where I'm at and what I can do to improve my game.

Ring ring...real life calling

So I was playing a free roll yesterday, and doing quite well: I had just over 8,000 chips by the first break.  I was well above the chip average and going strong when my friends made me go to the mall to have dinner with some girls.  I would have loved to finish the freeroll, but...real life was calling, what can I say?

I met with some people from my calculus class later and we got some good work done.  We went out and ate again at a local resturaunt.  After that I went to another party, had some fun, got home at ~3 am.

On a side note, the internet guy came, and was not able to fix the internet. /Sigh.

Long time, no blog

So I haven't blogged for a few days, and am just writing a little summary of the past few days now.

On New Years Eve, I went to a party at a friends house.  We had a good time, there were tons of people there, and I ended up hooking up with one of the cutest girls there.  On Thursday, Jan 1st, I took the day off poker, and didn't run either.  I felt bad about taking so much time off running, and made assured myself that I would attend practice on Friday morning.

That didn't prove easy to do however.  On Thursday, I went to my friends house, and drank a little bit too much.  I walked home, and felt a little bit better, and just barely got up in time for practice.  At practice, as soon as we began running, I felt horrible.  I hit all the desired splits, but I threw up on the way home.  Tonight, I decided that I would take the night off partying--even though there was a party going on--and just went to see a movie.  I saw Benjamin Button, and I didn't like it.  It reminded me of Forrest Gump, which I did like, but the love themes in this movie were a bit too strong for me, and I just found it boring.

One of the reasons I haven't been playing poker recently is because of my lack of stable internet.  Over the past few days, my internet has been cutting in and out.  Not only is it very frustrating when talking on AIM and trying to email, but it also makes playing poker very difficult.  Every few minutes you will get disconnected, and have to wait an indefinite time to get back online.  The internet guy is coming tomorrow morning though, and should fix things.

On a side note, I have begun to watch HBO's the Wire, and am enjoying it very much so far.
